The Tegro Group are proud to commence a project regarding the start-up of operations of the new copper furnace at Teck Metals, in Trail, British Columbia, Canada – one of the largest and most respected names in the global recycling industry. Teck is one of the biggest integrated copper/zinc/lead smelter complexes in the world and has just been named to the global 100 most sustainable cooperations. This mutually beneficial cooperation is based on the shared aim of working towards building a more sustainable future by investing in innovative state-of-the art technology.
We have forged this collaboration to support them in starting operations of their No. 4 furnace, which is expected to commence operations in 2014. This project includes building two new furnaces that will integrate into the existing lead smelting process. The project will triple the capacity to recycle end-of-life-electronics and other mixed material streams.
